Port Credit 175th Anniversary

1835-2010

Mississauga Santa Claus Parade

Fish were flying in Streetsville as our 2009 community float promoted the 175th Anniversary year ahead.  Nothing says Port Credit like a charter fishing boat, and that was the float, accompanied by townsfolk dressed to reflect our heritage, including fishers with Christmassy fish on the line!  Oh, and a lighthouse on the prow completed the Port Credit theme!

Thanks to Square Tail Charters (Ed Sheldrake) for donation of the boat, time and gas.  Thanks to Freestyle Signs for the three banners.  And thanks to Eleventh House Performing Arts and Heritage Mississauga for the provision of period costumes.  Volunteer Bob Cutmore was instrumental in making the arrangements, and thanks also to the volunteers who decorated and/or participated with the float.

We did it again for the 2010 Parade!
