Mississauga News (July 1, 2010): Patriotic parties aplenty
Excerpt: "In Port Credit, the annual Paint the Town Red celebration kicks off with a sunrise ceremony at Port Credit Memorial Park.  It continues with a village-wide parade (11 a.m.), running from Stavebank Rd. to Seneca Ave. ... Port Credit will also celebrate its 175th anniversary with an official ceremony from 1:45-2:15 p.m."

Above is a photo of Port Credit's old 1928 fire truck called "Bickle" which has been re-furbished in preparation for its appearance in the Mainstreet Parade through Port Credit on Canada Day.  Bickle will then be on display all day at Memorial Park, along with a variety of vintage cars.  A great photo-op!

A FREE day, ALL DAY, to celebrate our heritage, pride and future!  Fireworks at the end of the day will give us a double-bang in honour of Canada's 143rd Birthday and Port Credit's 175th Anniversary!  Wear your period costumes (and any period will do)!

10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  FREE Mini-train ride around the Park leaves from a special station -- makes stops!
